The above cartoon was a gift from Baltimore based artist Chuck Sipes who was inspired to create it after seeing my work and the delicate balance involved in displaying it. In part, this cartoon helped me realize how valuable the performance aspect and approach was in some of the pieces that I had previously only thought of as sculptures that were "still" yet held a potential kinetic energy.
